A free construction summer camp for girls depends on your donations
Somewhere in Georgia is a woman with a big idea and and a bigger heart...
For many summers, Renee Conner has been running Mentoring a Girl in Construction Camps, or MAGIC.
This is a free summer camp for High School girls that gives them the tools (literally and figuratively) for a career in construction -a usually male-dominated field.
Because the week-long camp is free to the girls, it depends on donations from the community.
Contact Renee Conner at 770-601-1963 or reneeconner2008@yahoo.com to find out how you can help.
Here are a few images of the super girls using Apollo Tools. Because if you're going to be using a wrench or hammer, you might as well do it in style (and have it come to a donation to breast cancer research).
